Hij brak door met het door de RIAA met goud bekroonde nummer ‘Next To You’ van zijn veelgeprezen debuutalbum Songs From the Valley, dat hij in eigen beheer uitbracht en waarmee hij zijn intieme vertelkunst en warme stemgeluid bij een breed publiek introduceerde. Na een periode van bezinning en heroriëntatie keerde Vincent in 2023 terug met Songs for the Canyon, een suggestief en veelomvattend tweede album dat hij samen met Grammy-winnende engineer Tom Elmhirst produceerde in Electric Lady Studios. Het project betekende een belangrijke artistieke sprong voorwaarts, waarbij hij zijn sonische palet verbreedde met behoud van de emotionele directheid die zijn werk kenmerkt. Afterhours

De Italiaanse rockformatie AFTERHOURS komt in 2027 naar Amsterdam! De band werd in 1986 opgericht door frontman Manuel Agnelli en verstevigt nog altijd hun plek als een van de belangrijkste bands in de Italiaanse rockgeschiedenis. Ter viering van de 40e verjaardag van hun debuut-EP en de 25e verjaardag van het album 'Quello che non c'è' (2002), komt de band naar Melkweg.

Dayseeker

Dayseeker keert terug naar Melkweg met hun nieuwe album 'Creature In The Black Night'. De band beschrijft hun muziek als 'sad rock' en zet op geheel eigen wijze het posthardcore genre in een nieuw licht. Deze avond wordt Dayseeker vergezeld door Australische metalcore band Northlane en Deense rockband Siamese.

KRACKFREE SOUNDSYSTEM - 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Krackfree Soundsystem was born in Eindhoven from a passion for high-quality sound and deep musical experiences. Its mission? To create a system that delivers crystal-clear, powerful audio while staying true to the roots of sound system culture. London quartet LEAP return to Amsterdam as part of their world tour, bringing along their successful debut album ‘Entropy’. The alt-pop rock band are known for their dark pop rock sound, which remains surprisingly accessible thanks to frontman Jack Scott’s distinctive voice and infectious rock-’n’-roll hooks. This autumn, the band complete their hat-trick with a major show in the MAX, following sold-out performances in our UP and OZ.

KID KAPICHI

Melkweg is no stranger to Kid Kapichi. On earlier albums, the band delivered a sharp critique of the UK through their cheeky and hard-hitting britpunk. On 16 January 2026, they released their latest record, ‘Fearless Nature’. The album marks a new chapter: with a new line-up, the band brings melancholic rock songs and more vulnerable moments.Still driven by their signature socially critical honesty, this time it’s paired with the emotional vulnerability of a turbulent period. Written during a difficult time for frontman Jack Wilson, the album explores themes like vulnerability, mental health and personal growth. Following a headline show at Pretty Pissed 2026, the band returns to Melkweg this autumn with the ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ tour.

After a sold-out show in 2025, Hilight Tribe returns to Melkweg in 2026! The electro-instrumental band aims to spread their message of peace and unity among different cultures. Thanks to collaborations with Armin van Buuren and Vini Vici, the group has gained worldwide recognition, allowing their positive message to reach even further.The six-piece performs their so-called “Natural Trance” entirely live, blending avant-garde electronics with traditional music. They use instruments such as the sitar and didgeridoo. The experimental and psychedelic sounds, combined with their light shows, create a sensory experience where music and visuals are perfectly synchronized.

Master Boot Record and Fulci join forces for a co‑headline tour! The bands bring their extreme, visual sound worlds to life on stage, with Arottenbit joining as special guest.Master Boot Record’s glitchy computer metal blends heavy riffs and electronic beats with the retro sounds of vintage computers and chiptune. The driving force behind this synth‑metal project is Italian artist Vittorio D’Amore, whose love for computers runs through countless releases, including the recent ‘Hardwarez’. With that album the band previously played a sold‑out show at Melkweg, and after touring with Carpenter Brut and Igorrr, Master Boot Record now returns to Amsterdam.

Conway the Machine

Matching gritty bars with a methodical, menacing delivery and unmistakable ad-libs, Buffalo’s Conway the Machine is acclaimed for his restless output of albums, mixtapes, and collaborations. Focusing on music after suffering a near-fatal shooting in 2012, the MC co-founded Griselda Records alongside his brother and fellow rapper Westside Gunn, becoming a key figure in the resurgence of grimy New York rap.He later left Griselda to focus on his own label, Drumwork, and continued his prolific release schedule with recent albums such as ‘You Can’t Kill God With Bullets’ and ‘G.O.A.T.’

As a teenager, she released her first fully self-produced projects, ‘Fever Dreams’ (2017) and ‘Baby Teeth’ (2018), immediately establishing herself as a strong storyteller with a keen sense of atmosphere and emotion.With ‘The Shark in Your Water’ (2022), Flower Face reached a wider audience and received praise from outlets including Stereogum and Paste, who highlighted her sharp lyrics and compelling arrangements. NAPA begon als een groep vrienden die muziek maakten in een kelder op Madeira. ALL YOU NEED IS KILL (2025)

Together with Kaboom Animation Festival we bring the best anime to the big screen! First came Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s ‘light novel’ in 2004. Ten years later, we saw adaptations as manga, American graphic novel, and the Hollywood blockbuster Edge of Tomorrow. And now, an anime directed by Kenichiro Akimoto. Each time, the story starts over, but slightly different. Which, funnily enough, is exactly the premise of All You Need Is Kill. In its Groundhog Day (1993) meets video game concept, each time you die, your day starts over, you just know a little bit more about what’s coming (something about an alien invader and the total annihilation of Earth). The two most significant changes made by Akimoto and his team are that the main characters aren’t military anymore, but civilian, and that the lead role has shifted from Keiji to Rita. With as an additional story layer the fact that Rita – although the word isn’t explicitly mentioned – is depressed. Which neatly fits the pattern of each day feeling the same, and having no interest at all in tomorrow. Which effectively turns All You Need Is Kill – with all its clearly choreographed fight scenes and the angular, sketchy design for which Studio 4°C is known – into a series of therapy sessions (after all, therapy also requires endless repetition for even minor progress): unless Rita wants to keep dying for the rest of her life (‘Live. Die. Repeat’ was Edge of Tomorrow’s concise slogan), she has no choice but to take an interest in every single detail of today in an attempt to finally make it to tomorrow.Melkweg often hosts different types of programmes at the same time, such as concerts, club nights and films. Emerging from the Swedish underground, Grommet is a four-piece powerhouse bridging the gap between beauty and aggression. While their heavy yet ethereal style of alternative metal is still uncommon in the Swedish music scene, they’re proving themselves to be a sensation after only four singles. Since their debut in November 2025, Grommet’s trajectory has been nothing short of unstoppable. The band has cultivated a dedicated global community, over 700 000 monthly listeners on Spotify as of now. Their single “Half In Red” is sitting at over 7 000 000 streams today. Now the hype around their newest single “Protected Names” (released April 30th) is continuing to push those numbers up rapidly. EVE - Scorpion Tour

Eve is part of a new generation of strong and talented female MCs who broke through the rap scene in the late ’90s. As a member of the Ruff Ryders crew, she had a raw style and was known as a confident, no-nonsense rapper who could hold her own against anyone on the mic. In this way, she achieved success on her own terms.Her second album Scorpion (2001) went platinum and marked her international breakthrough. Hit singles such as “Who’s That Girl?” and “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” are still considered defining classics of the era. The latter, in collaboration with Gwen Stefani, won a Grammy for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2002.This year, Scorpion turns 25. What better way to celebrate than with a tour?

Kraak & Smaak returns to Amsterdam on October 22 for the Amsterdam Dance Event. Following their 20th anniversary and the release of the compilation *Twenty*, the internationally acclaimed electronic disco, funk, and indie act from Leiden headed back into the studio to record their seventh album. FACE 2 FACE keert terug voor zijn derde editie, met een speciale ADE-show in de RABO zaal. NIMINO

With more than 250 million streams to his name, nimino has become one of the most exciting names in electronic music today. The British producer broke through globally with I Only Smoke When I Drink, a track that entered the UK Singles Chart and spent more than twenty weeks on Billboard’s Dance Chart. In 2025, he followed up this success with the Creek EP and a string of new singles.Behind nimino is Milo Evans, who began making music at a young age as a creative outlet for his ADHD. Marking 10 years of their collaboration, the Metropole Orkest and Melkweg are once again teaming up to host one of the opening concerts. The orchestra, conducted by Simon Dobson, will be joined by visionary producer, artist, and cultural architect Kybba.From the sun-drenched region of Salento in Italy to the heart of global club culture in Amsterdam, Kybba has evolved into a boundary-pushing producer and artist with deep roots in Jamaican and LATAM musical heritage.His influence stems mainly from the Basshall Movement, the platform founded in 2016 that grew into a global empire with Basshall Records, Basshall TV, and sold-out events, as well as a large online community centered around dancehall, afro, and Caribbean music. By combining dancehall with bass influences, Kybba scored international hits. ‘Colombian’ and ‘Pon Di Ting’ put him on the map, while ‘Ba Ba Bad’ (2024), featuring legendary Sean Paul and dancehall icon Busy Signal, further strengthened his global breakthrough. His debut mixtape ‘How You Bad Suh’ (2025), marked a defining moment in his career, featuring collaborations with artists including Barrington Levy, Bounty Killer, and Kalash.After a successful tour across iconic cities in North America and Europe, and the launch of his own two-day festival, Kybba now joins forces with the Metropole Orkest for a special tribute to the Basshall sound, reaffirming that music is the ultimate universal language.

Fanfare Ciocărlia

Fanfare Ciocărlia is a big brass band from north-eastern Romania. With their traditional Ottoman funk grooves, they have been turning concert halls and festivals around the world upside down since the late 1990s. The members of this brass band learned their craft from their fathers and grandfathers, and approach each concert with pride as a challenge to both entertain the audience and keep the true spirit of traditional Roma music alive. Children Who Chase Lost Voices (2011)
